VicWater and COVID-19

Dear members,

Following the official government responses to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in Australia, I am writing to advise you of the action VicWater is taking to protect the wellbeing of our staff and members.

Until further notice, we will not host meetings and other gatherings involving face-to-face interactions. This means that all events, committee and task group meetings of VicWater will be held online, or where this is not feasible, postponed or cancelled. It also means that all member and stakeholder bookings of the VicWater meeting rooms will be cancelled and no further bookings will be taken until further notice.

VicWater team members will be contacting all committee chairs, group leads and meeting organisers to put these arrangements in place immediately.

Our response to the situation complements that of our peer industry associations as a coordinated arrangement that we expect will minimise confusion to our members.
